Installation (typical in stucco base products)

  • Review local building codes before proceeding with installation.
  • Installation kits can be customized at your request.
  • Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of any loose impediments.
  • Apply adhesive to cover back side of shape.
  • While adhesive is still wet, attach shape to the surface. Some shapes may require mechanical fasteners to prevent slippage.
  • When adhesive is completely dry, carefully remove mechanical screws (if used for fastening) or apply base coat over screws to prepare surface for finish coat.
  • When connecting shapes together, apply fiber mesh and base coat at the joint to prevent cracking.
  • Sand any excess material from joint to ensure a smooth surface.

Warning! EPS foam is flammable. Modified EPS, like most plastic foams, is flammable. Do not expose EPS to open flames or other direct or indirect high temperature ignition sources such as burning operations, welding, burning cigarettes, space heaters or naked lights. When burning, EPS will consume oxygen, releasing heat and smoke and potentially toxic gases such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Do not use, install or store EPS except in strict compliance with BOCA, ICBO or SBCCI codes, as well as any local fire-related laws and/or ordinances. Failure to comply with these codes/laws may increase the risk of fire and result in personal injury or property damage from smoke, flames or water.

Most shapes are cut from 1.0 lb. and 1.5 lb. foam.
